CNAE is the classification of economic activities adopted in the production and dissemination of economic statistics and in the cataloging of registrations of the Public Administration of the country.

This publication presents the structure of CNAE - version 1.0: the principles, definitions and rules of application, the explanatory notes of the categories' content and the correspondences between CNAE 1.0 and its original version and the International Standard Industrial Classification - Revision 3.1.

Enclosed with the publication there is a CD-ROM.

This classification is a fundamental reference source in the production of socioeconomic information in the country.
