On April 12 at 9 AM, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics will release the results of the updating of the methods of seasonal adjustment of the Monthly Survey of Services. At that opportunity, the PMS tables in the IBGE System of Automatic Recovery (SIDRA) will be replaced according to the following correspondences:

Aiming at improving the quality and at standardizing the indicators produced, the nomenclatures of the variables will be changed and the number of decimal places of the index-number will change from 1 to 5. As of April 12, 2022, two new special indicators will be available: passenger transportation and cargo transportation. The time series will begin in January 2011, as well as the others already published in the survey. The new special indicators will bring results for Brazil, without any regionalization, and will include both the data of nominal revenue and volume.
