As a result of the COVID 19 pandemic, the data of the Continuous PNAD have been collected through telephone since March 17, 2020.
The design of the sample of the Continuous PNAD introduces, each month, new households that have not been previously visited, and thus their telephone numbers were not raised by the IBGE. Since the household visits were suspended since March, carrying out the survey through telephone according to its original schedule has been a challenge.
As a result, the release of the results of the Continuous PNAD (moving quarter April-May-June 2020), scheduled to be released on July 29, 2020, was postponed to August 6, 2020.
The IBGE remains studying alternatives to maintain the original schedule of the Continuous PNAD. If this is not possible, a new schedule will be released establishing new dates until the end of the year.
