Due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, the IBGE decided yesterday to interrupt the face-to-face data collection for the Continuous PNAD – a survey which measures unemployment in Brazil.
It is worth highlighting that the IBGE will proceed the data collection by phone.
We would like to ask everyone to fully cooperate with the IBGE interviewers when they call for answers.
Besides unemployment rates, other relevant information for the design of public policies is produced based on the Continuous PNAD.
The IBGE counts on everyone to be able to carry out such an important survey at this difficult moment the whole world is facing.
