Concerning the operation of the 2020 Population Census and according to its work plan, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics - IBGE will hire expert services of digital processing of images from remote sensors, with the use of computer algorithms based on machine learning, to recognize and extract features related to buildings in areas of interest, which include the outskirts of the metropolitan areas of the Brazilian territory.
In this regard, we invite the enterprises interested in supporting the IBGE in this service, mainly those that work with the digital processing of images from remote sensors, to attend a meeting on January 15, 2020 at 2pm. This meeting aims at detailing the objectives and specifications of the service mentioned above to the interested enterprises. In the meeting, samples of the inputs needed to carry out the service will be provided, in order to carry out tests aiming at subsidizing the proposals.
