The annual System of National Account – SCN series, will be revised from 2010 to 2016, in the November 2019 publication, due to the reviews of the Balance of Payments released by the Central Bank in 2019 (see www.bcb.gov.br) and the Environmental-Economic Accounting for Water: Brazil – CEAA implementation.
The change in the Balance of Payments had an impact on the following transactions of the Integrated Economic Accounts - CEI, in the period between 2010 and 2016: Interest (D.41); Distributed Corporate Income (D.42); Reinvested profits from foreign direct investment (D.43) and Other current transfers (D.75).
The CEAA implementation required a review, in 2016, of the water and sewage consumption, affecting, consequently, the intermediate consumption of economic activities and the final consumption of the product. The estimate of intermediate consumption of the economic activities, in turn, affect the value added of the economic activities and, consequently, the Gross Domestic Product – GDP.
