On March 19, at 10 am, the IBGE will release, as Experimental Statistics, the 2024 Biannual Survey of Innovation: Basic indicators, in the Brazilian industrial companies with 100 or more employed persons. Reference Period 2024.

Among the main statistics produced, the Survey will show the percentage of companies that innovate in products and business processes, that innovate for the domestic and global market, and that have spent on Research and Development. Themes related to public support for innovation, cooperation and problems and obstacles to innovate are investigated as well.

The Biannual PINTEC is a Project resulting from the partnership between the IBGE, the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development – ABDI and the Institute of Economics of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – IE/UFRJ.

These statistics are classified as experimental and should be used with caution, as they are new statistics still under the test phase and under assessment.
