IBGE will launch, on December 12, the page “Population Center: The demographic heart of Brazil”


The IBGE will release, at 10 am on December 12, the page “Population Center: the demographic heart of Brazil" which presents a new concept relative to the distribution of the population of the Braziian territory throughout the Population Censuses, from 1872 to 2022. The page will present conceptual and methodological information and the historical context of each year when the Population Center of Brazil was calculated, by means of interactive maps and graphs, as well as of photographs and images of each period.
