We inform that the construction of the SD17001 derived variable in the microdata of the Continuous PNAD, related to the total points in the Food Insecurity Experience Scale, which classifies the household as to the status of food security or food insecurity (mild, moderate or severe), was not run in the microdata.

The technical staff is working on the updating of this variable, and the amended version will be made available in the microdata as soon as possible. The SD17001 variable is defined according to the table of cutoff points of the Brazilian Scale of Food Insecurity (EBIA), shown in the Methodology section of the Continuous PNAD publication - Supplement of Food Security.

We point out that the temporary absence of the execution of the construction of this derived variable in the microdata of the Survey does not interfere in the results already published of the Continuous PNAD - Supplement of Food Security 2024.
