IBGE will release, on October 24, the 2022 Population Census: Indigenous Ethnicities and Languages: Main sociodemographic characteristics: Population Results


The IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) will release, at 10:00 am on October 24, the results of the 2022 Population Census: Indigenous Ethnicities and Languages: Main Sociodemographic Characteristics: Population Results, updating the portrait of the ethnolinguistic diversity of Indigenous peoples residing in the country. It also presents a set of information on the main sociodemographic characteristics of the different ethnicities, peoples, and Indigenous groups identified in the 2022 Population Census.

Due to the scope of the survey, the results will allow for the exploration of this information at different geographic levels, such as Major Regions, Federation Units, Municipalities, Legal Amazon, Legal Amazon by Federation Units, Indigenous Lands, and Indigenous Lands by Federation Units.
