On September 24, at 10 am, the IBGE will release, as Experimental Statistics, the Biannual Survey of Innovation 2024: Thematic indicators in Brazilian industrial companies with 100 or more employed persons. Reference Period 2024.

Among the major statistics produced, the survey will show the percentage of companies that use advanced technologies like big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, Internet of things, additive manufacturing and robotics. The degree of utilization of these technologies by business function/area, benefits obtained, contributing factors and difficulties for adoption are investigated as well. In the Teleworking theme, the survey explores the use and scope by business function/area and, in the context of Cybersecurity, the security measures used for digital information.

The Biannual PINTEC is a project resulting from a partnership between the IBGE, Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI) and the Institute of Economics of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (IE-UFRJ).

These statistics are classified as experimental and should be used with caution, as they are new statistics still in the test phase and under assessment.
