The IBGE will release, at 10 am on October 6th, as Experimental Statistics, the Continuous National Household Sample Survey: Teleworking and work through digital platforms 2022. The data, covered for the first time in this survey, refer to the main job of persons employed in the fourth quarter of 2022 and will allow us to outline the sociodemographic profile of digital platform workers and the characteristics related to their work, highlighting the differences compared to other employed persons. It will also be possible to understand the role of digital platforms in relation to relevant aspects of this work, highlighting the dependence of such workers on the value to be received for the work carried out, the deadlines for completing tasks and the choice of clients, in addition to the influence of digital platforms in determining working hours.

In relation to teleworking, a work modality intensified with the COVID19 pandemic, it was possible to observe the differentiated socioeconomic profile of the employed population who carried out telework (also called teleworkers), with emphasis on the activity groups and occupational groups that most adopt this form of work.
