On September 22, IBGE will release the Continuous National Household Sample Survey: Teleworking and work through digital platforms 2022

On September 22 at 10 AM, the IBGE will release, as Experimental Statistics, the Continuous National Household Sample Survey:  Teleworking and work through digital platforms 2022. The data, approached for the first time ever, are related to the main job of employed persons in the fourth quarter of 2022. They will allow a sociodemographic profile of workers in digital platforms and of the relative characteristics of their jobs, highlighting the differences against other employed persons. It will also be possible to understand the role of digital platforms in relation to relevant aspects of this work, highlighting the dependency of the workers in digital platforms on the value to be received for the work done, deadlines to accomplish tasks and selection of clients, as well as on the influence of platforms on the establishment of the work hours.

Concerning  teleworking, a type of work stepped up by the COVID-19 pandemic, it was possible to notice the distinctive socioeconomic profile of the employed population that worked remotely (also called remote workers), highlighting the activity and occupational groups that mostly adopt such work.

These statistics are classified as experimental and should be used with caution, as they are new statistics still in the test phase and under assessment.
