On November 26, the IBGE releases, as Experimental Statistics, the publication 2017-2018 Consumer Expenditure Survey: Profile of Expenditures in Brazil: Quality of Life Indicators

On November 26, at 10 am, the IBGE will release the 2017-2018 Consumer Expenditure Survey: Profile of Expenditures in Brazil: Quality of Life Indicators, which presents statistics on individual losses in quality of life. The indicators result from the combination of a wide range of non-monetary indicators that belong to different scopes: housing; access to public services; health and food; education; access to financial services and standard of living; transportation and leisure.

Based on individual statistics, a multidimensional index for loss of quality of life is defined and presented, in addition to a second index, which measures socioeconomic performance. The interpretation and discussion of these indices make it possible to compare different parts of the population (subgroups), identifying in which of them the greatest losses in quality of life are concentrated.

This study will be published in the Experimental Statistics scope as it brings new indicators, still under evaluation, i. e., although operational, they have not yet reached a complete level of maturity in terms of methodology.
