Executive Director takes IBGE presidency until a new president is appointed
After publication in the Official Gazette of the resignation of Ms. Susana Cordeiro Guerra as president of the IBGE, the position will be held in office by Marise Ferreira, current Executive Director (DE), until a new president is appointed.
With 37 years of IBGE, career civil servant Ms. Marise Ferreira has a law degree and since last year has been in charge of the institution's Executive Board. Being part of the Institute's staff since 1984, she worked in the data collection for five years, when she was transferred to the administrative area, working in the supervision of Human Resources at the State Branch of Rio de Janeiro
In 1995, Ms. Ferreira started at the Center for Information Documentation and Dissemination (CDDI), where she worked for more than 25 years, having occupied the positions of Advisor, Planning and Organization manager; Production Coordinator for Information Dissemination; Substitute Coordinator and General Coordinator.
