IBGE brings forward release of georeferenced information on the Brumadinho area

The IBGE website presents the location of agricultural establishments and of routes taken by enumerators in the latest edition of the Census of Agriculture in Brumadinho (MG) and other 17 surrounding municipalities.

The decision to bring forward the release of data from the Census of Agriculture, formerly expected for February and March, is intended to provide with information the rescue teams working in the region after the collapse of the Mina do Feijão dam last Friday (18/01).

Information on the location of rural housing units, collected in the 2010 Population Census, and also considered of great relevance by the Institute, is also available.

The data is in csv and shapefile formats, for expert users, and in kml, which can be viewed with Google Earth.
