MATOPIBA | 2021

Description

The region of MATOPIBA is an area with a growing cultivation of grains, which developed more intensely from the 1980s onwards and requires more attention from authorities and experts. The name refers to the combination of the initials of the States that have municipalities in the region: Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia. The municipalities included in the MATOPIBA region are listed in the Ordinance no. 244, of November 12, 2015, of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply.
