The Map of Biomes and Coastal-Marine System of Brazil, released together with the methodological report, brings new boundaries between the six Brazilian biomes, Amazon, Atlantic Forest, Caatinga, Cerrado, Pantanal and Pampa, compatible with the scale of 1:250, 000. In addition, it introduces the Coastal-Marine System, whose continental portion overlaps the biomes limiting the Brazilian shoreline. The report presents the methodological procedures, reasons for changing the outlines, considerations and relevant illustrations.
