About the publication - Environmental Diagnosis of the Jaguaribe River Basin

This study deals with the Environmental Diagnosis of the Jaguaribe River Basin, developed by the Geosciences Division of the IBGE-BA.

The studies aimed at the geo-environmental sectorization of the Jaguaribe River Basin in order to: understand the potentialities and limitations of the natural resources and the processes and factors of the organization of this space; pinpoint geo-environmental issues; point out priority areas for detailed studies aiming at the rational use of land, water and vegetal and mineral resources.

This multidisciplinary study culminates with the development of the Map of Geo-Environmental Potential, followed by the final technical report.
