On July 2, 2026, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and the Ministry of Health carry out the national launch of the third edition of the National Survey of Health (PNS 2026). This survey is considered the country's main household survey generating data on the health conditions of the Brazilian population. The event will take place at 9:00 am in the Ministry of Health Auditorium in Brasília, with accreditation opening at 8:00 am.
The PNS investigates key aspects for monitoring Brazilians' living conditions, such as health status, lifestyle habits, access to and use of healthcare services, the prevalence of chronic diseases, and issues related to the health of older adults. Data generated by the survey are essential for guiding public policies, supporting the management of the Unified Health System (SUS), and monitoring national targets and international commitments in the health sector.
