On July 1, 2026, at 10:00 am, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) will release the results of the Special Survey on 2024 Floods in Rio Grande do Sul (PEERS). This is a novel, experimental survey gathering information collected directly from households affected by the weather event. The data will subsequently be launched in Porto Alegre (RS) on July 3.
In Brasília, the presentation will take place at the Rômulo Almeida Auditorium—located in the Celso Furtado Building (SGAN Quadra 906, Módulo F, Bloco A, Asa Norte)—a facility of the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development, which supports the release of PEERS. The event will also be broadcast live via IBGE Digital.
