On September 24 and 25, 2025, the IBGE realiza, de 9h às 18h, the International Seminar "Counting Hours and Measuring Care: methodologies and applications of time use surveys," at the AGU Auditorium in Rio de Janeiro. Simultaneous interpreting will be available in Spanish.
Organized by the IBGE Gender Commission and by the Department of Household Sample Surveys (DPE/COPAD), the event represents a strategic step in the improvement of time use statistics in Brazil.
Besides panel discussions with foreign experts, there will be a session conducte exclusively by IBGE employees, who will share field experiences and considerations about the challenges posed by this agenda.
