Brazilian Journal of Geography

Description

Edited by the IBGE, the Brazilian Journal of Geography - RBG is one of the oldest and most renowned technical-scientific publications in Brazil, in the area of Geography and related sciences. Except for few editions, the RBG was published on a four-month basis for nearly 70 years, between 1939 and 2006, being considered a reference journal. In 2016, the RBG is relaunched in a half-yearly electronic format, as a scientific journal based on the submission and assessment of articles in a double-blind process.

The Brazilian Journal of Geography hosted a number of methodological and theoretical discussions focused on geography and related sciences. Many of its articles paved the way for knowledge, becoming classics, both in Brazil and abroad. Its relaunch aims at becoming a reference not only by its already established tradition, but also by the continuous pursuit for updating and improvement, allowing the IBGE to interact with the scientific production in Geography and Geosciences.
