Complementary Aspects to Education and Access to Income Transfers from Social Programs - 2004
In 2004, the National household Sample Survey investigated, as complementary topics, issues related to food security, additional characteristics of children and teenagers relative to education and, in household units, access to some income transfers from social governmental programs.
With this publication, IBGE now presents information which has been obtained in the investigation of the last two aforementioned topics, together with information usually obtained through the basic survey. It presents factors which can affect learning or which motivate or prevent attendance to teaching establishments, and also show the level of coverage and the socio-economic profile of the population benefited by social programs.
The publication also includes analyses for each one of the topics presented, aspects of the sampling plan and a glossary with the terms and concepts considered relevant to the understanding of results. The CD-ROM which comes enclosed with the publication contains, besides information in the printed volume, complementary tables about education of persons aged 0 to 17, by Federation Unit.
