Demographic Trends: an analysis of the results of Demographic Census 2000 preliminary synopsis

It consists of a group of data and indicators which summarize the results of Demographic Census 2000 preliminary synopsis and also promote the analysis of the following items: population evolution, level of urbanization, growth rate, population concentration, sex ratio, number of private households and average number of dwellers, all based on the latest census results.

The results, which include data about the country, its major regions, federative units, metropolitan areas and municipalities, are presented as tables, graphs and maps, and evidence the changes which have occurred in the rate of demographic growth throughout the period.
