Estimates for July 1st 2006

As a reply to the legal device Law no 8443, of July 16, 1992, Article 102, IBGE required publication in Brazil 's Federal Register, on August 31, 2005, of the population estimates for Brazilian municipalities, with reference date on July 1, 2006. After the publication, there will be a period of 20 days for submission of complaints to IBGE. The institution, after studying each case, will send the final estimates to the Brazilian Court of Audit until October 31.
