Municipal Livestock Production - 2006
It presents information on the total herd, the quantity and value of products of animal origin, as well as the number of milked cows and fleeced sheep, by Major Regions, Federative Units and main producing municipalities. It brings analysis of the results, highlighting the relative participation of the main livestock products in each of the geographic layers, focusing, for the first time, the performance of the sector in the foreign market based on national statistics of the Bureau of Foreign Trade – SECEX, of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, and international indicators of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations – FAO and of the United States Department of Agriculture – USDA. It includes also the conceptualization of the investigated characteristics.
The CD-ROM enclosed in the publication has, besides the information presented in the printed volume, the tabular plan of release of the survey by Federative Unit, geographic mesoregions, microregions and municipalities, and a summary table with the number and productions of the municipal livestock, allowing therefore, a detailed profile of this economic segment.
