Industrial Survey of Technological Innovation
PINTEC tables with other sources
Aiming at widening the analytical potential of the outcome of the Survey of Technological Innovation - PINTEC, a database was created by crossing its data with other statistical sources. This database includes:
1. Information raised in PINTEC for all enterprises included in its sample;
2. Information related to the identification of the enterprises surveyed in PINTEC, for which the origin of the capital is either foreign or national, using the data from the Brazilian Central Bank – BACEN;
3. Information about exported and imported value and amount of the enterprises surveyed in PINTEC, made available by the Department of Foreign Trade – SECEX of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade; and
4. Information about employed persons, salaries, total expenses with personnel, total revenue, net sales, total costs and expenditures, industrial operating costs, input consumption, gross value of industrial production and value of industrial processing for all surveyed enterprises, provided by the Annual Survey of Industry – Enterprise (PIA) and Annual Survey of Services (PAS).
As an example of the analytical potential of this database, three files including tables and graphs are available for download.
The complete database is available in the Department of Industry of the Directorate of Surveys of IBGE. It may be used in studies and specific surveys by scholars or public policy makers. The information can be obtained either through special tabulations or access to the micro data, conditioned to the preservation of the statistical confidentiality, by request to the Center of Documentation and Dissemination of Information – CDDI at the electronic mail address ibge@ibge.gov.br.
