Annual Survey of Construction Industry - 2005
This publication includes a set of economical and financial information on the business segment of the construction activity of the country allowing to estimate the basic structural characteristics of the sector, as well as to follow up its evolution along the time.
It presents, among other aspects, data referent to employed persons, salaries, costs and expenditures, revenues and value of constructions and/or services performed, together with commentaries which focus on the general results of the survey. It includes also inter-regional comparisons about the structural profile of the sector in the years 1996 and 2005 especially the main transformations which occurred in the spatial distribution of these enterprises in the period. It brings also an analysis of the supply of products, between 2004 and 2005, which have been aggregated in four great groups for this publication: residential constructions, industrial constructions, non-residential and commercial constructions; infrastructure constructions; and other constructions.
The publication includes, also, technical notes about methodological aspects of the survey and annexes containing the National Classification of Economic Activities referent to the industry of construction. The CD-ROM enclosed with the publication contains, besides the information of the printed volume, the updated tabular plan for the years 2003 and 2004, increasing therefore the possibilities of exploration of the results.
The results of this survey are an important source of statistics about the structure of this kind of activity, providing subsidies for the public and private planning, for the academic community and for the society as a whole.
