Annual Survey of Services - 2004
This publication presents information on the economic and financial situation of companies, such as revenues, gross value of production, value added, costs and expenditure, personnel employed and expenses with employees, among others, presented for selected segments of the productive sector of the country's non-financial companies, highlighting the companies with 20 or more employed persons. These segments form the activity groups related to services rendered to families, information services, services rendered to companies, transportation and auxiliary services of transportation and mailing, real estate activities and renting of real estate and material goods; maintenance and repair services; and other services.
It includes technical notes about the survey, comments on the results obtained, focusing on revenue, number of companies, employed persons and wages, a comparative analysis regarding the information for the years 1998 and 2004, highlighting the distribution by sectors of services in each region and the segments which contributed to the specific economic dynamics and their influence to the result in level Brazil. The results are in accordance to the National Classification of Economic Activities - CNAE 1.0.
It constitutes an important source of statistics about the structure and functioning of this kind of activity, providing information for the public and private planning, as well as for the academic community and public in general.
The information is also available on the CD-ROM enclosed with the publication, which includes results for the year 2003.
