This Wednesday (20), at 10 am, the IBGE will broadcast the release of results of the Semiannual Survey of Innovation (Semiannual PINTEC) 2022. The event will be held at the Data Room of the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI), in the city of Brasília-DF, and will be attended by the president of the IBGE, Marcio Pochmann, the president of ABDI, Ricardo Cappelli, besides directors and technical teams from both institutions.
The Assistant Director of the Directorate of Surveys, João Hallak Neto, will monitor the release of results, which will be presented by Alessandro Pinheiro, Coordinator of Structural and Thematic Statistics in Companies. Also present will be the Manager of Structural and Thematic Analysis, Fernanda Vilhena, and the Manager of Thematic Surveys, Flávio José Marques Peixoto.
In its 3rd edition, the Semiannual Survey of Innovation – Semiannual PINTEC 2022 proceeds with the production of a new generation of statistics on innovation and related topics for the Brazilian industrial sector, in the realm of companies with 100 or more employed persons. Data for the survey are collected from the selected companies every semester and the statistics are released on an annual basis.
This edition presents the Basic Indicators, with the purpose of providing data for the construction of indicators of innovation activities in Brazilian companies, according to the National Classification of Economic Activities - CNAE 2.0. Semiannual PINTEC has the objective of generating sector and national indicators of innovation activities in Brazilian industrial companies.
Data are available for Brazil, without regional aggregates. The survey if the result of a partnership between the IBGE, the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI) and the federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
