Editorial Rules and Papers Format
  1. The maximum size is 15 pages in A-4 format, including the front page, the text, as well as all the tables, graphs, maps and bibliography.
  2. Use font Times New Roman 12 pt , one and a half spacing (or at least 18 pt), all the margins with 2.5 cm and the page number centered at the bottom of the page.
  3. Show clearly the number and the title of each section or subsection of the work, in bold.
  4. The first page (front page) of the work must have ONLY:
    • The title of the work on the top of the page, centered and in bold style, size 14 pt ;
    • The name(s) of the(s) author(s) aligned on the right side, with font 12 pt in bold; the institution to which each author belongs (affiliation) must be placed in parenthesis besides the name;
    • A summary not exceeding 20 lines with a maximum of 300 words
  5. For the bibliographical references and quotations of the text, follow the recent rules of ABNT or of recent publications by IBGE.
  6. Notes must have font 10 pt
  7. Tables and Graphs must be inserted in the text as a figure and with the following format (see the example below):
    • Centered on the page;
    • The font in the table must be at minimum 10 pt and at maximum 12 pt ; divide the table into two or more, if it does not fit the page;
    • For the title, use the style: Table # followed by the title of the table /graph (centered and in bold);
    • The source of data must be informed, aligning the descriptive text with the left margin of the Table/ Graph;
    • Try to avoid side bars in the cells of the tables

  9. A model (template) is available in the file Word file, IIEncontro.dot, that you may use, if you want to obtain the desired format indicated for: title and work subtitles, name of authors, normal paragraph (text body), notes, title and table and graph font.
  10. Instructions to use template:
    • Save the file IIEncontro.dot in the directory of models of Microsoft Office, in general, located in: c:\Program Files \Microsoft Office\Models (or similar), the same place where you can find the model normal.dot (to find out what the directory defined in your computer is, select "Tools", "Options", "Files", "Models of User");
    • Open the Word and start a new document, by selecting in the menu bar "File" and "New" (do not use the icon of new archive ) and then by selecting the model IIEncontro;
    • Follow the initial instructions contained in this model file and then select the styles in each paragraph by simply positioning the cursor in the paragraph you want and clicking on style tab (besides the Font type) or by selecting "Format", "Style" and, immediately, the style you want with the aid of the mouse and clicking on "Apply".
